The Nittany Lion Wrestling Club announced that their third live event will feature a match between 2020 Senior National Champion Jennifer Page and NCAA No. 4 Lauren Mason. Penn State Head Coach Cael Sanderson and The Nittany Lion Wrestling Club are set on getting Jennifer Page high-level matches right alongside NLWC teammates.

Women’s Match: Jennifer Page (Titan Mercury WC / Nittany Lion WC) versus Lauren Mason (Simon Fraser University)

Recent Competition
Jennifer Page won the 62 kg title at Senior Nationals in Iowa. She posted a pair of technical superiorities leading up to the finals, and her matches were action-packed. Here’s a clip from her semis match versus collegiate All-American Bridgette Duty (Cumberlands).

In the championship bout at Senior Nationals, Page collected a significant win over 2020 UWW Junior and U23 champion Macey Kilty (Sunkist Kids WC / Tar Heel WC). Kilty was the first to score and had Page trailing 3-0 with under a minute to go. Page closed the gap, first, with a blast double that earned her a step-out point, and then in a final flurry Page picked up two points for exposure and another step out to for the 4-3 decision.

Page also competed in the first NLWC live event against 2020 U23 Champ and Senior National Team No. 3 Desiree Zavala. It was another match where Page showed she can recoup after being down in the first period against great opponents. Zavala had collected a 6-point lead in the first 30 seconds with an early takedown and exposure points. But Page closed that gap and won the bout 14-10.

Her opponent, Lauren Mason, is ranked No. 4 in the NCAA preseason poll at 136 pounds. Originally from California, Mason is now a senior at Simon Fraser University.

Last weekend, Mason advanced to the 57 kg semifinal after defeating NCAA No. 1 ranked Amanda Martinez in the quarters at U23 Nationals. She went head-to-head in an exciting match with Senior National team member Abby Nette in the semis—Nette won the match 7-2, but not a single point was given up without a fight. Mason fought back to the third-place match where she lost a tight 3-2 battle with 2020 NCWWC Champion Alexia Ward (McKendree).

The NLWC matches will be streamed live on the NLWC Rokfin channel.
