DelVal update: National search for head women’s wrestling coach is underway

DOYLESTOWN, P.A. – – Delaware Valley University has launched a national search for a full-time head women’s wrestling coach. The position listing can be found on DelVal’s website, here.

David Duda said, “We will use the 2019-20 season to recruit a full roster for competition in the 2020-21 season.”

During a previous conversation Duda shared that, “Given the rich history of men’s wrestling at DelVal, we are excited to move forward with the women’s program. We feel there’s a huge opportunity with the growth in high school numbers across the U.S., here in P.A., and in neighboring states.”

This is a strong move for DelVal—the announcement comes shortly after the decision to table plans to launch the women’s wrestling program for the 2019-20 season to address what Duda called a combination of shortcomings with recruiting goals and missed steps in the planning process that lead to the programs postponement. Full details on the strategic decision to delay the program launch are available, here.
